Why did you choose to attend FHSU?
I chose to attend FHSU because I wanted to sharpen the tools that I needed to shape my future career as a writer. The university’s solid reputation won me over, and I knew I had to enroll if I was serious about my writing career.

What are your favorite memories from your time as a student?
My favorite memories as a student include the interactions with the instructors and other students in so many of the English courses that I took.

What advice do you have for current or prospective FHSU students?
My advice to current and prospective students is to set goals for yourself. Goals will keep you focused and on the path to success. Never give up!

Tell us about someone at FHSU who has left a lasting impression:
Dr. Sharla Hutchison and Dr. Michael Meade were two instructors who left lasting impressions on me. I was a student in several of their classes, and I learned so much from the both of them regarding literature and the writing process. They were both extremely helpful in their advice and guidance. I cherish every assignment from their classes, as the work helped me develop and mature as a writer.
