What do you now do for a living? How did you end up choosing this career path?
Cardiologist and Director of Cardiology Services at Hays Medical Center. Working nights at Hays Path Lab during college peaked my interest in medicine.

Why did you choose to attend FHSU?
My parents told me to.

What are your favorite memories from your time as a student?
The smell in Albertson Hall. All the musical noise in Malloy Hall. The stage in Felten Start Theater. Forsyth Library in the evenings. The Red Coat Inn after the library closed for a #5 Pizza Burger and a frosty mug. Sigma Chi Fraternity, Derby Days on the Quad. Mortar Board. Seventh Cavalry.

What advice do you have for current or prospective FHSU students?
Work hard, stay focused, but take time for fun and new friends.

Tell us about someone at FHSU who has left a lasting impression:
Dr. Don Stout, vocal music. Dr. Bob Dressler, chemistry. Dr. Elton Schroeder, pre-med advisor. And Mama Schumacher, our house mother.

In what ways are you proud to be a Tiger?
All ways!
